No formaldehyde
in our coatings
All Renner coatings are formaldehyde-free. Formaldehyde is a molecule with two harmful features: it spreads easily and is highly toxic.
Particular concentrations of this element may cause respiratory and eye irritation, especially in asthmatic or allergic individuals. It is dangerous if swallowed or inhaled in large quantities. In 2004 the International Agency for Research on Cancer (Iarc) confirmed that formaldehyde is carcinogenic. Since 2016 in the EU formaldehyde is classified as a cancer-causing substance.
For these reasons, regardless of Italian standards, which still accept the use of formaldehyde within certain limits, Rio Verde coatings are completely formaldehyde-free.
